Sherbrooke Lake - Mt Paget 3rd Avy Path

We skied the 3rd avalanche path on Mt Paget at Sherbrooke Lake. We went up the tree island between the second and third paths with the occasional zig zag into the second path. ~1900m there was a crust that was quite firm, especially in open terrain. I vaguely remember it being a rain crust from when we skied the same line 6 days ago. Whatever the crust is it’s quite firm with about 10-15cm over it. The trees that are more open in the lower bit of the second path had some wind affect, the direction of the wind seemed to be down the slope towards the lake. In the tree island the crust was less prominent and there was more snow. We moved over to the 3rd path in the top third and found great snow. As we approached the top of our line the winds started to pick up. The wind direction (approx north wind) was opposite to the last 2 times I was up there in the past 2 weeks and seemed to be cross loading features. Great turns top to bottom. The ~15cm on top of the crust in the Xmas trees at the bottom of the run made that skiing fun too. There were a lot of parties at Sherbrooke today and it seemed like people went up the trees on paget at the start of the lake, White Knight area and Ogden Benches.
