Today we skied the SW slopes on the moraines opposite Angel Glacier. In the morning it was clear sky and -18°C, becoming overcast and -14°C by 11 am. We skied on low angle (25°) slopes and stayed away from steeper slopes because of the increased hazard due to the 30 cm of new snow on Friday. We saw new loose snow and slab avalanches(from yesterday or today) on the NW facing slopes below the steep cliffs, with debris almost reaching the parking lot, and a slab avalanche at a moraine (also NW facing). Ski quality on our short runs was excellent, even though the lower angled slopes gave us just barely enough speed for turns. A quick snowpit test just below the top of the moraine, SW facing, at 1850m el., resultet in a CTH22 RP down 95cm. HS 150cm, ski pen 25cm, foot pen 60cm to 1m+, Wind light SE, overcast -14°C. We didn't observe any whumpfing.
