<p>Was - 22c at the parking lot around 9am. - 13 at the car at 1pm. Winds were light in the morning at the car but moderate to strong winds had already started moving the new snow in the alpine upon arrival. By days end wind had picked up more in the alpine with plumes and large spindrifts visable on the drive home.
Skiing was great. Not many people, more cars at other areas. Soft wind loaded powder in the classic open tree chutes and bowl feature. Area is seriously wind hammered and crossloaded from the NW in the alpine down to tree line. No signs of instabiltiys, some signs of older loose drys from the storm. Used a few test slopes on the way in. No whoomfs or cracks on any terrain encountered today. Wind slabs encountered were not reactive to skier traffic although we didn't test this on any steeper features. We believe this info collected is specific to this area and did not take this is things are stabalizing. The area was skied alot before the storm and had received intense varied wind affect likely redistributing the layer of concern in a different way then most nieghbouring peaks At tree line.
