A little new in Crowsnest.

<p>Today in the Window Mountain Area we found 20 cm of new soft snow. This new snow isn't quite enough to totally forget about the hard surfaces that it fell on, wind-pressed snow on north and east-facing slopes, and a crust on steep south - west facing slopes. Moderate to strong westerly winds are moving snow around developing wind slabs in lee terrain features that may be easier to trigger where they are building over a crust. Cornices are also looming and there was evidence of recent cornice release that triggered a few dry loose snow avalanches.</p>
