4 days in the MacDonald ranges. Near 0c at 1800m. 5-15cm new snow. Moderate SW winds at ridgeline. Growing cornices ripe for natural triggering. Massive whumpfing at treeline and above treeline, shooting cracks. Size 1 and 2 natural and skier triggered slabs observed. Remote triggered slabs from 100m away. Sun made some thin melt freeze crusts. Soft wind slabs are being created with the newest storm snow. Buried surface hoar is 30-40 cm down and has a cohesive slab formed on top with propogative tendencies but can be stubborn. Good powder skiing and sledding is abound folks, just choose your terrain appropriately.
