Tunnel Creek

Ross Martel, Saturday 8th February, 2025 10:38PM

lower elevations received 10cm of wet snow Saturday night, at 1800m there was 15cm of snow on top of a 4cm supportive rain crust. It is hard to say how well the new snow is bonding to this crust since the new snow was not bonding to itself at this elevation so it was hard to recognize any instability, with any more warming or a wind exposed area, there is certainly a great surface for a slab to slide on. obviously above 0degrees at lower elevations -4degrees at 1800m at 10:30 am
