We skinned up from the lodge parking lot through the trees and ascended Mt Jimmy Simpson Junior. We gained the bench before the main slope and found a well consolidated 'right side up' snowpack. About 10-15cm of dry low density snow that appears to have come without wind that increases in density until the ground where it was very firm. Approximately 100cm HS. We ascended the main slope and found the same conditions with no red flags and good supportive skinning. We avoided the thin spots and convex areas were kept to a minimum whenever possible and kept our exposure below to a minimum over some of the rocky ledges/cliffs below. We gained the main ridge and skinned until the wind scoured snow was no longer worth it and then we left our skis and bootpacked the summit. Skiing was great, first couple of turns were windscoured and then it was the same consolidated snowpack back to the bench and we exited via the slide path. No instabilities noted on the up or down. Great aesthetic line.
