Pattison NW/Blackcomb Backcohntry

Sea To Sky

Sunny and clear in the blackcomb backcountry today. Northern slopes still held good snow until the afternoon. We did not observe any pinwheeling even under high solar radiation, but solar slopes began feeling a little heavier towards midday. Calm to no wind all day. We skied Pattison NW, the central entrance had some rocks and a different party lost (and recovered) a ski coming down. The north facing lines on Decker down to the lake were incredible with deep light snow at 4pm.
