<p>Anticipating May showers in the Maligne and Icefields region for Wednesday and Thursday before returning to cool temps by Friday. A deep winter snowpack still exists on low elevation, high-frequency slide paths at Parkers Ridge and Medicine Lake. Focused control will take place today, Wednesday on Maligne LR. Thursday, on the Icefields Parkway. Forecasts have been variable and changing constantly, with that in mind, please consider this Plan A. Updates to the timing will be available from AB511 road reports </p> <p>Maligne Lake Road is closed now for Avalanche Control. Anticipate opening at Watchtower May 4th @ 18:00. Full opening may be as late as Friday, 09:00am. </p> <p>Icefields Parkway will close at 15:00 from Saskatchewan Crossing to Parkers Ridge today, 220504 for Avalanche Control.
