Hector South Ridge

We experienced sugary, faceted surface snow on our tour up Hector South Ridge. The snow pack was shallow and there was considerable hidden hazard. There we isolated pocket of wind effected snow and we saw signs of a recent size two slab avalanche. Heavy winds will like contribute to the wind slab problem.
