Per previous report on Wendy Thompson hut trip. There are still a lot of open crossings. Temps hovered around 0-2C at 1300m - 1600m. Firm crust in the morning that gave way in the evening. Highly variable visibility. Crust gone at 1700 or so. You are working hard for your turns as snow is dense at 1800 and above. Skied 1800-2400m east and west faces. Winds moderate with 10cm wind slabs on some aspects. 10cm storm slab on Lee faces. Ski cuts showed no reactivity. Snowed a few cm evening of 21st. Best lines were pillows. Summary: needs at least one more good storm to fill in remaining pockets and creeks Snow is good in alpine or subalpine.
