Cameron Curse

Vancouver Island

AvCan Vancouver Island , Thursday 21st March, 2024 4:30PM

When we first arrived at staging for Mount Cameron we could see some clear skies above. Of course by the time we got into the terrain, cloud and fog had moved in and visibility became very limited, the Cameron curse. Even with only a brief period of clear sky the snow pack was noticeably punchier on South aspects. The new surface crust became moist on all aspects with some daytime warming and light rain. We didn’t observe any signs of instability.
