<p>Good skiing on south aspects with boot top deep soft snow. Lots of wind loading in usual areas, with 2 small avalanches observed. Hard slabs in evidence, especially exposed SE-E aspects. Evidence of reactivity in the storm snow where surface hoar likely to have formed, in particular at lower elevations.
Tests gave moderate results in the top 20-40 CMS, with some stubborn results on the Nov 23rd layer which is down about 70 cms most places. Nerdy details below.
Took observations on S and E aspects. HS 65 to 130 cms. CTM (RP) down 20 cm storm slab. CTM 13 (SP) down 40 on decomposed SH and facets. CTH 26 (SP) down 68 on MfCr and Fc. ECTP 14 on East aspect. Avalanche obs. Sz 1.5 Na 30m x 120 m, 20cm deep, SE aspect, 35 degrees, 2100m ALP, suspect went during storm. Sz 1.5 15m x 250m, 20cm deep, E aspect, 40 degrees, 2000m, TL.
