We didn't quite make it above the clouds today, and the skiing was pretty mediocre, but we managed to have fun anyways:) At 2050 m we were in the clouds, the wind was light out of the west and it was -10. We looked at the snowpack on a north west aspect and found 140 cm of snow. The upper snowpack was pretty firm (like skiing a groomed run), made up of old storm and wind affected snow. The lower snowpack is still made up of faceted, sugary snow, but seems to be gaining some strength. We didn't see any recent avalanches, had no whumpfing or cracking and had no results in our extended column tests.
