Reasonable conditions on Pano with a mild refresh after what appeared to be a busy weekend. The lower trees around the skin track on the final climb up Pano Ridge itself appeared heavily skied, but we found great snow dropping towards the tarn further west. It appears most are exiting the upper valley via a track direct to Taylor campsite rather than the traditional creek - a fine alternate while the drainage continues to fill in. A very firm layer down ~10-15cm was present intermittently throughout much of the subalpine and made for supportive travel both up and down. This group was concerned about step-down into deeper weak layers, but no instability in that regard was noticed.
