Good snow in Grizzly trees. No significant obs but the crown on the East face of Twin Cairns that ran earlier this week was still visible and commanded respect. Snow in alpine was wind affected so we stayed in trees. Grizzly had some great snow especially where the summer fires raged. Winds picked up significantly from NNE in pm which made return quite unpleasant. Pit on S aspect didnt yield much of interest. HS 225cm near a lee ridge. Fairly cohesive top of snowpack with no failures on SH layers. Terrain was a bit rocky and we did get one CT20 SP down 125cm on the facets below the cohesive slab, but not repeatable. Conditions will likely change a lot following all that wind.
