<p>Red Mtn Cabin area December 3-5.<br /> Cold as -21 warm as -15. Light to no winds thankfully.<br /> Alpine and treeline snow heavily wind affected from previous N-NE winds all aspects.<br /> Below treeline ok skiing on facets in places the wind couldn’t reach. Pretty rough skiing below 1400m due to low snowpack.<br /> Height of snow at cabin, (1500 m), is 110 cm in sheltered areas.<br /> 5mm surface hoar over 40 cm of fist hard snow, (rapidly facetting), over 10 cm 1 finger +, over 20 cm fist hard facets, over 1 finger + to the ground.<br /> Snowpack tests produced nothing in the profile.<br /> No recent avalanches observed. Already some pretty big glide cracks on steep SW aspect alpine slopes.</p>
