Cariboos

Despite a damning nearby min report we tried our hand at touring at groundhog. We found a 0.5-1cm ice crust. First noticed at 1,500m and it became apparent that it was at all elevations. It was found at 1,850m near the summit of Elk Mountain. We did not attempt to tour/ski as a result. Sledding however, was manageable despite the crust and we played around a little bit before heading home early. There is a curious little guy who seems at home in the cabin.
