Acidophilus wind effect

Wind event impacting Acidophilus/5 mile basin. Ridge top was very stiff concrete-ish wind slab We did a few turns from the top down to the bench. Variable intermittent hard/soft snow made for difficult skiing. Tree branches/debris from the wind covered the snow everywhere. We decided to turn around and save our knees. Ran into two split boarders on the skin track who said conditions were basically the same lower down, with large blowdowns all the way to valley bottom. They did describe it as ‘fun’ - did not specify if type 2 fun. They did admit they weren’t about to do another lap.
Loud spooky settlements could be heard on the skin up from the resort side. Low rumbly - sounded almost earthquake-like. Heard about 4 of these over the space of ~an hour. Couldn’t pinpoint where exactly they were coming from but did not make for warm and fuzzy feelings. No snow movement seen on the down north or south but kept it conservative.
