Crown line ranged from 30cm to 75cm in height. Snow was dry and light. Skier triggered it and was caught and buried partially. On the rest of our ride down we saw size 1 and 2 avalanches that had been triggered naturally. If we had taken a better approach while skinning we likely would have seen this and then turned around for the day.
Skier started descending and a crown line appeared above the skier. The skier got caught and sent approximately 300 meters downhill and deposited fortunately with a glove in the air and the rest of their body covered. Skier was rescued quickly and no major injuries were sustained.
