Driving to the ridge we saw signs of recent releases, as such we were extremely cautious on our up track, looking for the least hazardous options. At the top we realized the conditions seemed right for some good riding. NE aspect of the ridge seemed the safest. Wasn’t very steep, but the warming snow became powder like. There was a frozen later under the 10-15cm of fresh snow that had fallen, but with the temperatures rising to 0 it made for great riding. Observations during the day/riding showed signs of the snow getting heavier, but we noticed that balls of snow that tumbled down did not pick up extra snow and so we kept riding for a few more hours.
