<p>Addition to "we stayed away from" - wind affected areas. Winds have scoured ridge tops and open terrain moving snow all over the place. Reverse loading is quite substantial. Best riding was actually on very sheltered northerly aspects or wind load south asp. Riding is extremely variable. Northerly winds today sustained at ridge top. Alpine temps -13 at 1200hrs. 155cm total snow height, means quite shallow and new hazards showing their heads. Shooting cracks present on convexities on north and south asp where affected by wind but no avalanche activity caused or seen. We did not ride below treeline much but we have reports of some significant avalanche activity below treeling in cutblocks along ski touring routes caused by the mid dec surface hoar in the Cariboos. One reported DOG remote size 1.5 where debris completely filled a large ditch (see pic) Major concerns for this fella are new windslabs and the surface hoar issue in sheltered alpine areas and steep terrain treeline and below.</p>
