Quick Observation
Headed out today with no expectations at all and just a bit of motivation. We had surprisingly good turns on every runs in powder, although very wet powder. Pinwheeling big times around trees and many wet avalanches were heard from the Bloodlust/Happy/Doom walls. I would stay away from big, shallow rock features with the warming temps. I probed 18cm of snow at the tops of Cats, which we skied twice (see that means conditions were good enough to get down there for a second lap). That measurement was pretty constant across the slopes and elevations. Calm day, no wind, some flakes, some drizzle, barely any skiers.
