snowpack

Coordinates

49.584549, -121.111585

Quick Observation

Deep snow coverage at all elevations today. Heavy snow at 1200m and less dense snow at 1800m. No recent avalanches noted but some shedding off the face at higher elevations. Ski penetration 30-40cm. Skiing was good on steeper slopes as low angle slopes reduced momentum due to deep heavy snow. Snow in the trees was compressed with all the tree bombs, also fun skiing.

Snowpack

Roughly 70 cms of snow sitting on a MFcr. The interface above the MFcr appears to be well bonded to crust. Weak temperature gradient down to 120 cm. No results on CT/ECT/ski cutting.
