Pretty solid snow in Bullmoose today. No real results in our test pit and no real signs of instability at Treeline or Below Treeline, even on wind loaded areas, small cornices and steep drifts. Day was warm and windy, with heavy snow starting in the afternoon. Freezing level was about 1350 m or so, with no signs of melt or rain above that. We saw a large (size 3) old avalanche on a big North face that was cornice triggered and ran from the peak to the valley bottom (pics 2 and 3). Hard to tell but looked to be at least 4-5 days old but not older than a week. Hopefully this new storm brings the goods and a hard reset!
