Surface hoar near Barkerville

We found the mid January surface hoar layer down 38cm near the top of the 7 summits (Bald Mtn area). It was reactive in snowpack tests, giving hard, resistant planar results... which did not leave us wanting to sled steeper bowls or roll-overs.

Windy (32 Km/hr gust 39) right at ridge crest, but light winds everywhere else.
