Size 2 slab avalanche triggered from 50m away while setting skin track

Bed surface appeared to be layer of facets above rain crust which we believed was from early December. There was evidence of old avalanche debris on the bed surface along one side. Below the rain crust there was only 10cm +/- to ground cover. Very thin snowpack in this area when compared to other slopes and aspects in the vicinity.
