Quick report
Hard freeze last night thanks to radiative cooling and light wind (most weather station temps remained above freeezing). Recent snow on W-S-E aspects had gone isothermal up to 10,300' (unsure if higher). Good corn riding conditions have set up. Above 9,500' there was cold, semi-dry snow still on northerly aspects.
Light-moderate S/SW wind today helped keep the snow from rapidly destabilizing on slopes exposed to the sun and wind. Sheltered slopes destabilized quicker. Little to no snow left to transport by the wind in this location. Cornices are surprisingly large still. Use caution during warm days and give them enough safety margin.
Snow coverage was consistent around 8,500' except southerlies. The road is melted out with small patches of snow until ~4 miles up the Cache creek.
Observed some dry loose D1 avalanches on southerly aspects confined to slopes around rock features from the last two days of warm weather.
