Cracking and Collapsing along the ridge in areas with wind transported snow. In areas of significant wind transported snow, profound collapses and cracking occurred. Cracks ran large distances up to 100 feet. In some terrain more than one crack occurred traveling in parallel directions.

Snowpack
Snow King has 9 inches of snow on the season to date stake. Wind transported snow created depths of 20-36 inches on certain lee aspects of Windy Ridge. The snowpack structure is one finger hard snow on top of four finger hard snow on a foundation of advanced facets near the ground.
