Decided to see if the storm improved access to where we were a few days ago and the verdict was a definite yes. Below treeline has become much easier to get in and out of and we were able to cruise back to the road without much issue, (although there are still plenty of hazards to watch out for).
We skied a few laps from 2450m to 2250 where we found excellent snow. Along the ridge we kicked over several large cornices with no results on the slopes below. This area had widespread surface hoar before the storm in sheltered areas and wind hammered crust elsewhere but we couldn't get little steeper pockets to slide/move.
In the afternoon the sky cleared and we had an hour of broken blue sky above us. Very low/no wind where we were but the valley clouds seemed to be moving as did the clouds above us.
When the sky cleared a bit we could see a good distance but no natural avalanche activity was seen.
