<p>Thin cloud cover provided good light, opening to full sun in the afternoon (2:00pm onwards).
Below ~1700m, ~20cm ski penetration, knee deep foot penetration, tapering to above 1800m where there was approx 5-10cm of loose unconsolidated snow above a crust, which made for difficult travel conditions above 1800m. Mostly avoided sleep slopes, but managed to generate a good amount of sluff on the one steep section I turned on. Throughout the day, noted increasing frequency of point releases (see photo), tree bombs, and pinwheels, generally on the steepest, most solar aspects.
Absolutely great skiing once we were below 1775m.</p>
