There was an avalanche that occurred roughly 3-4 days ago on the N- NE aspect slope of baldy viewpoint. There is a cornice forming overtop of the slab avalanche area

Snow depth 85cm Fresh snow 10cm 3 hits elbow to shovel sheared below depth hoar 30cm Avalanche noted on ne aspect size 2 Wind slab and wind loading on leeward side Temp -20C at 2263m elevation Wind 2-4km/hr gust of 8km/hr Avoid convex and concave alpine terrain Test area 20 degrees slope Depth hoar from ground to 30cm above ground hit first frost hoar

Avalanche occurred on the north/ north east aspect slope between 35-40 degrees. Avalanche ran out about 100m from the base of the slope. Size is roughly a 1.5 - 2. Wind loaded slope, deep persistent slab problems with a surface facet layer 0-30cm above the ground.
