250202 approx. 1420hrs Sliders #4 West Bowl, Mount Cain NE Asp. @TL Between 35 to 40 deg. slope Size 2, Skier Accidental Fracture line was approx. 50 - 60 cm deep 100 m across and ran approx. 150 -200m Bed surface was very hard ice crust Test pit dug at a similar elev. and asp. showed a very thin temp. crust over a thin facet layer (2 - 3cm ) sandwiched between the recent storm snow ( HST24) and existing snowpack.
