It could be worse

~15cm of fresh snow rests on the crust from the atmospheric river and is currently being redistributed by moderate east winds, creating isolated pockets of wind slab on lee features. This slab was observed sitting on several cm of low density snow above the crust rather than failing directly on the crust.
Hoping to ski mellow open slopes to avoid hitting the crust too much, fog forced us to search for the larches.
Snow was less wind affected in the 5 Mile fingers, but look out for frozen chunks beneath the new snow.
