Early season conditions but overall pretty good skiing on Brohm Ridge. We saw pinwheeling and small point releases on solar aspects. No slab avalanche activity or signs of snowpack instability. Biggest hazard we encountered was lurking rocks.
Weather
The sun packed a punch when it was out. Lots of tree bombs bellow 1450m.
Snowpack
HS ranged from 65 cm’s on a NW aspect at 1600m, to 100cm’s at ridge top at 1750m. Surface conditions ranged from moist on solar aspects to soft powder with some surface riming on polar aspects. Although very thin, the snowpack felt well settled and supportive, although early season hazards are definitely still lurking.
