Left before heavier storm snow later on in the day. Surface hoar layer ~15cm down at 11am, and storm snow released easily from it. Lower layers were heavy and well bonded, failing at 25 taps on ECT (no propagation). Pit did not reach deep persistent layer. Harder solar crust 15cm down at the time on certain aspects. Natural sloughing noticed on steeper slopes on top of solar crust in the morning.
