Quick Observation
Rode some phenomenal powder from Km 17 parking Lot. Toured up and put in a few laps from working our way out to North Queest and back. Skiied steep supported slopes in deep powder on North/North East and East aspects. The current fresh snow is sitting on a crust about 40cm down as consistently seen throughout the area. We experienced settling on convex test features. 1900m CT12, resistant planar, 40cm crust Test results and observations lead us to feel comfortable skiing steep supported slopes. We avoided convex features and moved conservatively through exposed areas. Amazing powder conditions persist at the gorge and the crust appears to be present but not currently highly reactive on the aspects we skiied. Conservative terrain management and decision making lead to some amazing riding
