Powder valley glacier

Rain crust until above tree line. Whumpfing and recent avalanche debris within tree line. We probed 30cm of snow on the glacier. The snow got softer with the heat of the sun in the afternoon which made the skiing alright. We also skied there sunday March 18th. Strong wind forming new wind slabs. Very hard and variable snow as there was no sun to soften it. Coverage in the alpine is low. Lots of rocks sticking out.
