All hope is not lost

Finally, we found some good turns on a sheltered slope that hadn’t been wind affected! While we have been taking small steps out this week onto some steeper slopes, we are still mindful of the buried weak layer and the persistent slab problem in the forecast. We’re still avoiding large steep features which have a shallower snowpack or thin-to-thick snowpack.
