Fun Fluff Featuring Feather

Great day out skiing! Conditions were far better than anticipated. The snow is highly variable: Great soft/powdery snow below the notch, a mix of soft snow and hyper wind blasted cement on the way to feather bowl, and heavy/variable snow in the bowl. We thought the conditions seemed very stable. We did get a whoompf and very hollow sounding wind slabs just below feather bowl, but they seemed to be localized to isolated, low angle features. There was a mega inversion today. Howling winds and frigid temperatures at the car, and -5ºC in feather bowl. There's good skiing to be had in the pass!!!! Good luck!
