Skied the pillow field on Pulpit Knob 4 today (1750m to 2150m). The river crossing was not frozen and quite wide where we accessed the area. We had deep unconsolidated trail breaking the entire up track. Snow at TL and BTL was unaffected by the wind in the areas we skied. Ski quality was excellent with 20-30cms of ski pen. The November crust/facet layer was present wherever we dug down in the snowpack. We did not see any evidence of new avalanches. Temperatures were approx -10 c. It was cloudy throughout the day with snow from nil to S-1. Winds were calm to light from the west all day.
