We were happy to wake up to snow in town! Our maximum elevation was 1800m. The snow surface was dry powder, however, the snow was quite heavy and dense below which made shovelling practice quite tiring! We dug to ground at 1800m, SE aspect. The snowpack was about 150cm deep. We had moderate planar results down 60cm at a density change on stellar crystals. We also had results on the crust down 130cm. The recent rain event had devastating effects on the snowpack below tree line.
