Swine Flu Chute aka The Big Bash Out

<p>Skinned up from the Visitor Centre pretty much following the summer hiking trail through varying slush, crust and otherwise crappy snow. Quality started to improve above 1600m, but we only went as high as 1700m or so. Lots of signs of sun affect with tree bomb debris and rolly balls from yesterday’s sun - we cut a cornice off above the chute and watched it roll out of sight a fair way below. Ride the Swine Flu Chute to the power line. Serious bush whacking started halfway down, becoming one with the thorns was necessary to make it out. Pretty quick split ski out along the power line and down the old swine flu climb made for significantly lighter work than we expected! </p>
