Snowpack

Dug a pit at 9,000', North aspect. No unstable results in the 140cm pit. Crusts and weak layer locations are similar to Salt River and Snake River pits of that depth currently. See attached profile.

Thin snowpack here with just enough snow cover on the trail to get to deeper snow though we did not dig deep on turns. The area has been heavily wind affected with significant scouring and loading. We saw a few old D2s from previous cycles that failed near or on the ground in steep rocky and wind loaded features.
