Quick report

At least 4 inches of new snow overnight, wet/heavier consistency, on top of snow all day yesterday. Temp was 35 degrees out, and avalanches looked recent. Saw at least two solo skiers approaching Prater via sled-please consider the risk you are putting yourself and first responders in by going out on days like today! Walking Prater Canyon road, and noticed snow movement on the scree fields to looker’s right/N facing at the beginning of road.

Two natural avalanches on the N/NW aspect of the steep scree fields. One was smaller point release, ran approx. 10 ft long; the second was uphill to the first and much larger, ran approx. 50ft long. I was standing at approx. 6900 ft and the slides were a few hundred feet above me.
