Quick report
- Cracking
- widespread
- Collapsing
- isolated
A weak, relatively shallow, faceted snowpack below all the new snow and wind loading over the past 3 days made for the perfect recipe for avalanche activity in steeper terrain today. I was not skiing this slope but I triggered it from the ridgeline above. Snow King's backcountry terrain has a very faceted snowpack, with all the new snow, it's beginning to show all the class 1 data for structure failure.
