Walks on spring equinox

What a difference a week can make on Vancouver Island. We spent the day at Mt Cokely once again. We staged just past km 6 and sledded to the top of the old ski hill from there. Travel was quick as the crusty surface snow had already softened enough to edge. Our descent through the fog was good quality spring skiing. We noted many old avalanches across the valley on Arrowsmith, most likely from our warming events late last week. As well as glide cracks growing on Cokely.
