Fisher Peak North

Checked out the North side of Fisher Peak yesterday. The snowpack is generally shallow and faceted, 80-100cm on average, but deeper in wind loaded areas. Below tree line and in sheltered areas there is a load of surface hoar waiting to be buried. The Alpine has been hammered by wind. Surface conditions are a mix of sastrugi, ribbons of facets, and hard wind slab. We stayed in the shadow of the mountain the whole day, but assume that South aspects are most unpleasant at the moment thanks to a nasty crust. Not everyone's cuppa but a decent time to get up high.
