Elkford Powder

<p>Soft snow with wind ? incoming!! We got into the Alpine today In Elkford and found 35 cm of soft snow over a well consolidate mid-pack. We did see a few small wind slab releases out of steep east-facing slopes so kept an eye out for cracking or whumping as we toured up but saw neither, as we approached the ridge there was some hollow-sounding snow. We avoided a rollover at the top of our run and enjoyed the soft snow today that will likely be gone soon with the incoming winds. </p>
