It’s a long way to the top if you want to walk up roads 🎵🎸

The team set off for Mt Myra today. The parking lot was covered in snow and the trailhead had ~20 cm of hard crust on it. The road up to Tennant lake was challenging travel. Seems to be a theme this year huh🧐. With all the usual creeks still exposed, we were forced to take off our skis and even boot pack parts of the road that were completely brown. At the lake we found 40 cm of new snow sitting on a crust. HS at 1100 m was 1 m but varies depending on aspect. We observed a size 2.5 avalanche in the NW main ski line off the peak. We suspect it ran during the storm on Monday/Tuesday or soon after. Skiing was soft and pleasant until the bridge. Travelling down the road was difficult, we decided to put our skis on our backs to avoid the sketchy grabby crust.
